Lachlan Creative Group announces a new film – Christianity: The 2nd Generation FeaturedWritten by Stuart Lachlan Bennett
News Release from the Lachlan Creative Group -- For Immediate Release
Announcing CHRISTIANITY: The 2nd Generation (see trailer at https://youtu.be/1KZIFF_J740), this film now in development tackles a subject that is often overlooked by Christians, yet it is critical to the story of how Christianity became established at the end of the first century. We already know the end of the story - Christianity became the largest religion in the world. But after the Jewish rebellion in 66 AD, followed by the fall of Jerusalem, things didn't look so good for this obscure religious sect. Christ was gone, the Apostles were all dead and Jerusalem was no longer the life-giving center for the remaining followers of the faith. So how did the church survive after Christianity was outlawed? Who were the 2nd Generation Christians who fought for survival against all odds? What was the price they paid to stand against heresy and the wrath of Imperial Rome? Another documentary film that Lachlan Creative is developing to produce this year is The Mystery of Sardis. This film follows the history of the city of Sardis in Asia Minor (modern Turkey) from being the terminus of The Royal Road to Susa in Persia, to becoming one of the seven churches of the Book of Revelation.
In addition, LCG is also raising funds for an awareness campaign about sex trafficking in the USA. In 2014, 1 out of 6 runaways reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were likely victims of child sex trafficking. With 100,000 children estimated to be in the sex trade in the United States each year, it is clear that something has to be done. The campaign will be launched with a feature film in 2017 called, Too Close to Home. Screenings will be held to raise funds for partner nonprofits that are fighting child trafficking. Lachlan Creative Group creates content to educate, inform and inspire. Our primary goal is to instruct the public about social problems that threaten individuals, families and communities. We achieve our goal by the strategic use of films and other innovative media to generate debate, transform thought and promote action.
