KISSIMMEE, FL (ANS) — 1 God 1 Day 1 Africa — 1GDA — to be held in May, 2020, is planned to be the largest Christian outreach in history.
In a nutshell, 1GDA will be doing live outreaches in all 54 countries across the continent of Africa simultaneously, culminating on the last day with one single live streaming event that covers all of Africa.
“We are working with all the top ministries around the world to unite the body of Christ,” said organizer Jennifer Wilde.
Jennifer Wilde was a missionary of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa under the leadership of Pastor Chuck Smith. She led a ministry called “Wilde 4 Jesus Ministries,” and spent the past thirty-seven years preaching the Gospel around the world in countries such as Mexico, India and of course, Africa.
In 1998 she founded ‘Wilde 4 Jesus Ministries’ and is now working full time with ‘One God – One Day – One Africa’ as President and founder. Wilde is also a published author. Her book ‘From Life in the Hollywood Fastlane to the Untouchables of India’ is available currently in online retailers. When she is not working abroad, she resides in California with her two daughters and three dogs.
Wilde, along with former Christ for all Nations European Director and Pastor, Mr. Siegfried Tomazsewski (President of Calling Ministry) is calling out ministries and churches to come and participate in the mass Gospel campaign for an evangelistic outreach all over the continent of Africa. They aim to join with the churches and ministries and reach out all across Africa through mega events, to accomplish the vision “One God – One Day – One Africa (1GDA).”
Wilde said she has recently heard from God that “Now is the time to act on” to achieve the vision of 1GDA.
It was 37 years ago that she envisioned about reaching the multitudes through the Gospel campaigns. Hence the idea of “One God – One Day – One Africa (1GDA)” was born as a ministry to fulfill God’s desire. Siegfried Tomazsewski is spearheading the operation as C.E.O. and has worked over 18 years alongside evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.
Also extending support is Russell Abbot, African director based in Rwanda who has been organizing gospel campaigns in Africa since many years of mass-crusades. Ministries like Christ for All Nations, Iris Global, King Ministries, Luis Palau Ministry, African Enterprise, aLn, Global Outreach Day and many others have already partnered with 1GDA to accomplish this task in Africa in May 2020. Christians, ministries and churches are called and invited to join as prayer warriors, hosts, supporters and partners.
Dr. Heidi Baker, CEO of Iris Global, said, “Jennifer Wilde is a woman of passion, integrity, and vision. Even as her name, she is wild for God and will do anything to see his kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven. One God – One Day – One Africa is an evangelistic event focused on unity, mobilization, and lasting fruit.”
The first stage outreach of 1GDA started in November, 2018 in 3 African countries (Tanzania, Ethiopia and Cameroon) simultaneously. For more details, join by signing up on www.1gda.org/join . You could also visit and like the Facebook Page fb.me/1GDA.org .
Wilde said: “I’d like to personally invite you and your church to join us in a monumental event taking place in May 2020. Our goal is to bring God’s love and mercy across the entire continent of Africa through the hosting of live outreaches in every country simultaneously on one day. This would make us the largest outreach in the world, uniting the entire body of Christ under one single mission: bringing souls to salvation. We are already partnered with organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, Youth with a Mission, Christ for All Nations, Global Outreach Day, and many others, and would be thrilled to have you onboard with us!”
Wilde added: “In addition to the live outreaches, we are producing a song in the style of ‘We Are the World.’ While we are not affiliated with the creators of We Are the World, our model is similar — to partner with ‘A list’ artists on a charitable basis to generate donations that will be 100% given back into humanitarian aid across Africa. This aid includes efforts such as digging water wells, building universities, providing medical aid, supporting local orphanages, and more.”
The main crusade will be hosted by One God-One Day-One Africa Ministries (1GDA) and will be broadcasted to as many of the 54 nations of Africa as possible. The location and date are still under discussion, but will possibly be held in May 2020.
Wilde explained: “This will be a historical, epic event that will be broadcast live on GMO (Global Media Outreach), which has had up to a million hits a day seeking to know Jesus. It will also be on television, radio and recorded to be on sim cards which will be, along with the Jesus film and the Bible (or at least the Book of John), passed out to the remote villages of all nations in Africa, translated into 5 languages, by ‘boots on the ground’ such as Campus Crusade, YWAM, etc. These will have the new technology that prohibits users from deleting and changing content. Small radios will also be given to village leaders to be able to hear the live broadcast.”
Wilde continued: “This event will be promoted in the media in all African nations so that all peoples, religious, non-religious, rich, poor, young, old, etc. will want to turn their TV’s, radios, internet, etc. on to follow it. It will be so inspirational, exciting and attractive that no one will want to miss it! We will make this crusade a Celebration of Africa involving top African sports, entertainment and political celebrities.”
She added: “Not only will it be broadcast on a continental level (on the large international radio and TV networks), but also on the local networks of each nation to reach the largest audience possible and to make part 3 of the Vision possible.
Each participating nation will host its own Local Crusade using local singers, preachers, resources and languages to reach their own people groups.
1GDA will be providing funds to start these crusades off with money to secure crusade grounds, sound system, security and other basic necessities of the crusade.
Wilde stated: “We will be meeting with the top Christian leaders of every nation to propose forming a committee to oversee organizing the local crusade, promoting, and broadcasting of the local crusade within each nation. This will be achieved by dividing Africa into approximately 10 districts. We will be going visiting as many countries as possible to meet with Bishops, Apostles, and leaders to impart the Vision of One God, One Day, One Africa. They will receive a presentation and invitation to partner with the One God-Day-Africa Vision.
“We will hire and train an assistant/supervisor for each nation to assist the local leaders in accomplishing all crusade activities in their nation, as well as assisting us to oversee all parts of the One God, One Day, One Africa vision within each nation.”
Wilde said: “Every church in Africa, even in the most remote villages, can host a Radio/TV/Internet Broadcast of the Mega Crusade event so that millions from their communities can be invited to attend and be given an opportunity to receive Christ.
Wilde went on to explain that promotional and invitational materials will be distributed to all African Pastors at training events to be held in every major city/town within Africa. The National Supervisors will be pre-trained to run the training events and distribution of the materials to prepare the churches to host the broadcasting of crusades.
“This is for ALL CHRISTIANS to get involved!” Wilde said. “We will be inviting American, European, and all Christian leaders to adopt a country in Africa. We will connect them with the local leaders of that country to help with the crusade. By ‘adopting,’ they will be raising funds to do a larger crusade than possible with current funds, and plan to send a pastor or evangelist to preach at the national crusade 4-5 days prior to ONE GOD, ONE DAY, ONE AFRICA, along with the local leaders of that nation.
Follow-up will be done by locals and participating Churches, such as Saddleback Church’s Africa Initiative and GMO’s individual follow up on the internet. Also with other participating ministries and Churches, including all different denominations as long as they are Christian!
This is GOD’S Vision and for HIS glory alone, so we are praying that we can ALL come together in unity with one goal and vision…to reach the ends of the earth for JESUS! Praise the Lord! Therefore, we welcome ALL input, ideas, and strategies that you may have for this vision to reach multi-millions simultaneously with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! God bless you!
1GDA said it is currently in the process of creating a song in the style of We Are the World, which was written in the mid-80s and raised $63 million for Africa at the time. “Our plan is to use today’s top Christian and country artists to write and record an original song and generate even more interest and donations. Please note that while 1GDA will be using a similar model, they are not affiliated with the creators or singers of We Are the World.
1GDA is working carefully handpicking reputable, nonprofit organizations that are currently working in Africa and partnering with them to distribute 100% of what is raised through the song. Each organization is categorized into one of eleven groups, including Water Wells, Orphanages and Children’s Homes, Disaster Relief, Education and School Building, Medical Aid and Hospital Building, Shoe Donations, Food Distribution, Bible Translation, Anti-human Trafficking Efforts, Youth Empowerment Programs, and Women’s Empowerment Programs.
“We are still looking for more organizations and ministries to partner with and fill some of these categories,” said Wilde, adding: “If you are working with a nonprofit in Africa and would like to be involved, please contact us for more information about partnering.”
Wilde said that everything planned is thoroughly vetted and goals and intentions are always in line with Christian values such as honesty, integrity, and respect.
“We fully understand that even with the best intentions, aid can sometimes have unforeseen, negative effects. We are selecting partners that work closely with the local communities and take every effort to negate these effects and ensure we are only helping, never hurting.”
The event has been endorsed by Andrew Palau, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda and Heidi Baker.
